Biography Luci Schroder


Luci Schroder is a Melbourne based writer/director.
Luci’s fine arts, textile design and philosophy background attests to her versatile multilayered and palpable approach to film.   She has traversed areas such as Fashion Film, Music Video, Commercials, Video Art, Short Documentary and Short Stories.

Her most recent short film SLAPPER won at the 2016 Sydney Film Festival for Best Live Action Short and also screens at the 2016 Melbourne International Film Festival where Luci has been invited to participate in the Accelerator program.

Luci has directed music videos including Georgia for Vance Joy;  Hands for Alpine; and Sophisticated Lover for Donny Benet which have been selected for the ARIA’s, SXSW Film Festival, J Awards, SOUNDkilda to name a few.

Sparked by interest of her music videos, Schroder was invited by world renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight to create a film for his Fashion Fetish series.

Currently Luci is working on a virtual reality project for video artist Shaun Gladwell’s experimental company Badfaith. Luci is also developing a second narrative short film and a feature length screenplay.
