Biography Protected: Bram Spaan

Bram Spaan’s work is characterized by his ability to see beauty in the everyday. He embraces imperfection in his photography and reveals charm in the often overlooked or unexpected.

He is interested in the tension between objects or ideas, often exploring these by creating his own sets and props. Not infrequently, he takes nature out of its context in order to subsequently examine their anatomy in great detail.

By taking the (living) forms out of their context and zooming in on them, he penetrates to the deepest core. The result is an often humorous or unusual image that amazes the viewer.
